On January 27, 2003 the European Parliament and the Council of the European Union
authorized Directive 2002/95/EC on the restriction of certain hazardous materials
in electronic equipment. This new directive requires that manufacturers reduce
usage of six hazardous substances to not exceed minimum acceptable levels
by July of 2006.
The purport of the directive is taking care to preserve the environment and human health.
HandyWave positively consents the purport of the directive and
recognizes well the importance in protecting the environment and avoiding
potentially unsafe materials.
HandyWave was taking the initiative to meet Europe's RoHS Directive and
ready to ship RoHS compliant HandyPort product lines from 2006 Q2.
